Yard Supervisor

***local candidates only please***The Yard Supervisor is responsible for supervising all yard functions including drivers and checkers performance. This person reports to the Traffic Manager.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:1. Lead daily team meetings with drivers/checkers to discuss safety, maintenance issues with yard trucks/trailers, company news.
2. Perform and maintain an accurate yard check through drivers/checkers.
3. Handle Gate Movement Log Report and Ship Load Report on a daily basis.
4. Manage Yard Layout plan and maximize yard usage.
5. Manage open communication with Maintenance and Warehouse Managers.Job Requirements
**local candidates only**REQUIREMENTS:1. Must have 2 years experience in yard management, with minor tractor/trailer maintenance skills
2. Must have 2 years supervisory experience
3. WMS experience helpful but not required
4. High school diploma or GED required
