JOB LOCATION: Preston, MDThe Transportation Representative is responsible for a specific customer base and driver base. Responsibilities include utilization of available resources (drivers/trailers), building a close working relationship with other associates within the team, as well as the customer to fully meet and exceed their expected service levels, and establish a “quality process” ;by which all available resources are tracked and monitored in an effort to improve day-to-day operations, increase efficiency, and reduce waste.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:1.Meet operational key factor results goals.
2.Create and schedule work assignments for the fleet servicing the assigned customer base.
3.Establish and maintain positive working relationships to retain quality drivers.
4.Ensure data accuracy in the use of mobile communications, the load creation and movement systems, on-line and hard copy reports, etc.
5.Provide operational support for assisting in any problems which may arise in regards to the customer or a load.
6.Develop and maintain profitable, long term relationships with shippers and consignees by providing the best, most efficient transportation service possible.
7.Ensure a balance of safety, customer service and organizational values.
8.Prepare weekly/monthly reports as required.

1.Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent, post high school education preferred
2.Minimum of one year of prior work experience, customer service experience preferred
3.Customer focused
