POSITION: Traffic Supervisor

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

•Select appropriate delivery methods to minimize delivery costs and maximize customer satisfaction.
•Supervisors administrative workers who confirm and record shipments, prepare items for shipping and could from time-to-time direct those individuals who load and unload trucks.
•Responsible for managing the inter-departmental transport of materials.
•Familiar with a variety of the field concepts, practices and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan an accomplish goals.
•Responsible for the flow of goods out of the U.S. Ensures that paperwork and monetary transactions are completed accurately, in a timely manner and according to trade laws.
REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS:

•College degree (4 years preferred)
•Warehouse and distribution experience ( 3-5 yrs)
•Strong organizational skills
•Previous supervisory experience required
•Demonstrated leadership ability
•Knowledge of export documentation requirements
•Strong written and verbal skills
•Advanced PC skills – MS Excel and Access, AS400 & BOSS background a plus. SQL and/or data-mining software beneficial
•Experience in negotiating outbound freight contracts
