Maintain a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient customer service. The responsibilities are many, varied, and directed towards upholding Whole Foods Market Core Values and the company’s goals. This position reports to the Store Leadership.Will do the following principle duties and responsibilities:
1. Provide excellent customer service.
2. Arrive to work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work; work all scheduled shifts and attend required trainings and meetings.
3. Maximize sales potential through effective and proper procedures for receiving all product entering the location including: verifying actual product against packing slips, confirming product integrity, and checking product temperatures as needed.
4. Stamp, initial and code invoices; log invoices in receiving journal; distribute to appropriate teams.
5. Support regional vision and execute all regional directives and programs.
6. Practice courteous and proper etiquette when answering phones and pages.
7. Comply with all applicable state health and safety codes.
8. Maintain clean and sanitary operating environment; responsible for maintaining cleanliness of receiving area including loading dock and trash areas.
9. Complete spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets as required.
10. Perform other duties as assigned by Leadership.
11. Where Rapid Receiving is in place: log invoices into the computer receiving log workbook; enter invoice data into the AP System, run a query of that activity to attach to invoices and distribute to appropriate teams.
REQUIREMENTS
1. Entry level position; some retail experience preferred.
2. Ability to perform physical requirements of position.
3. Excellent communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team.
4. Ability to operate all necessary equipment.
5. Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends as required.Physical working conditions:
1. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
2. In an 8 hour work day: standing/walking 6-8 hours.
3. Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling.
4. Requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting and reaching.
5. Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals.
6. Exposure to temperatures: <32 degrees Fahrenheit (freezing), 32-40 degrees Fahrenheit (refrigerators), >90 degrees Fahrenheit.
