500 companies worldwideInterest Category: Craft WorkerJob Description: THIS POSITION HAS BEEN IDENTIFIED AS HARD TO FILL.Fabricates, assembles, and installs production equipment/assemblies related to a large variety of aircraft, ranging from single engine airplanes to complex, multi-engine turbojets and helicopters. Familiar with military mechanical manuals, technical orders, modification work orders, and blue prints. Installs parts and equipment on aircraft and makes modifications to the existing airframe to accommodate installations.Performs sheet metal production work including fabrication, modification, and installation on a variety of aircraft. Must work with various thickness of aluminum, steel alloys, stainless steel copper, brass, and other ferrous and non-ferrous metals in the fabrication of production metal parts for aircraft modifications. Must construct, assemble, and install irregular items with instruction. may be required to operate automatic machines. Uses tools and equipment associated with a sheet metal shop, such as protractors, calipers, pitch gauges, crimping tools/machines, forming machines, lathes, milling machines, saws and drilling presses. Able to read and interpret blue prints, schematics and rudimentary drawings.hjlsi06

Minimum Requirements: One year technical school, apprenticeship, military training, or equivalent experience in a related field.Must be a US citizen.Must join the Teamsters Union Local 35.Must be able to obtain and maintain secret clearance.
