Ozburn-Hessey Logistics is a successful third party logistics provider with over 50 years experience headquartered in Brentwood, TN. OHL has been listed as one of the top 50 3PL's nationwide in Inbound Logistics magazine.


Due to our continued growth and success, Ozburn-Hessey Logistics is currently recruiting for an Operations Manager located in our Romeoville, IL facility.

This position is responsible for performing the following duties:


Establishes operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current.
Ensures physical condition of warehouse and equipment are properly maintained. Ensures work orders for repairs and requisitions for replacement of equipment are submitted to the appropriate persons.
Responsible for the profitability of the warehouse.
Confers with others to ensure coordination of warehouse activities related to assigned account with activities of other functional areas such as customer service and sales.
Ensures high level of customer satisfaction by communicating frequently with customers and following up on customer concerns and requests.
Responsible for the safe operation of warehouse activity and for ensuring company standards for sanitation, maintenance, security and housekeeping are met.
Responsible for ensuring adequate staffing and for training, coaching and counseling employees.
Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow.
Responsible for ensuring ISO compliance.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualified candidates must posses the following:


Bachelors Degree
5-7 years experience in Distribution, Transportation or Logistics Management, preferably in 3rd Party Logistics companies
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proven hands on leadership and teamwork skills
Proven success working under pressure
Excellent problem solving/analytical skills
Skilled in Forklift use
Ability to work weekends on a as needed basis
Fluency with MS Office; Synapse/Accuplus experience a plus
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
