Backed by a world-class R&D organization, sanofi-aventis is developing leading positions in seven therapeutic areas: cardiovascular disease, thrombosis, oncology, diabetes, central nervous system, internal medicine, and vaccines.Embrace this opportunity to join a diverse and talented group of individuals championed to take on innovation and change in our rapidly expanding organization.Position is responsible for management of Fleet Services for approximately 9,000 employees with vehicles (Approximately $80 million annual spend on Fleet related costs), including oversight of Fleet Policy and Procedures, directing Fleet Management Companies, partnering with Procurement on acquisition and disposal of fleet vehicles, compliance with policies and safety protocols; close communication with Sales Force Management, Human Resources, Legal, and Risk Management.Role Responsibilities
Fleet Policy & Procedure direction and oversight
Safety Policy & Procedure direction and oversight
Financial Cost oversight, reporting and analysis
Evaluate/report non-compliance items
Benchmarking - meeting corporate Fleet & Safety goals
Establish continual improvement in fleet processes/outcomes
Provide excellent service to employees with fleet vehicles
Other duties and special projects as requiredManagement Responsibility:
Manages Fleet/Safety Department staff; 2 exempt, 2 non-exempt
Internal/external resource relationships; Sales Ops, Procurement, HR, HSE, Risk Mgmt, Finance
Interact with senior management on fleet/safety decisions
Execute programs strategically resulting in high value for sanofi-aventis
REQUIREMENTS
Education:
BA/BA in Business Related Field or equivalent experienceExperience:
5-7 years in fleet administration, and/or services management including procurement, vendor management, direct management/supervision of employeesProfessional Skills:
Demonstrated strategic thinking resulting in high-value process improvements
Ability to initiate and manage change on large scale initiatives
Excellent communication skills with all levels of management and variety of external resources
Financial/budget management responsibility with related technical background for analyzing reports/data and reporting appropriately
Strong PC skills/familiarity with operating procedures; SOX compliance
Work with limited supervision and use skills to establish creative programs to optimize resources for improved results in cost, performance, and employee satisfaction
