Consolidator

Volt Services Group, a national staffing company, is currently recruiting for a consolidator to work for a growing display company in Eagan.This position has the responsibility to ensure coordination of orders through the system and that they comply with the on-time shipping performance. Another responsibility of this position is to ensure accurate and proper packaging procedures are followed during the packing process. Also, ensure that Skyline product is packed per the order and readied for shipping department to meet scheduled shipping deadlines.
Prioritize and consolidate orders for shipment
Responsible for insuring order completeness
Verify that job is complete and informs the Packing Technician that the job is ready to be packed
Expedite whatever is necessary to insure a timely shipment of all orders
Ensure all backorders are correctly annotated on order
Keep working area clean and organized daily
Read and accurately fill orders
Able to read and understand work orders and corresponding shipping documents, etc.
Work closely with other departments to fill orders in a timely fashion
Utilize the most efficient methods to package our product
Have working knowledge of Shipping, Consolidation and Set up area
Keep working area clean and organized daily

Requirements:

*High school diploma or GED equivalent required
1 - 3 years product experience or equivalent knowledge in a related industry
Ability to communicate well with production floor and Supervisors
Self starter/works well independently
Basic computer skills/ working knowledge of Visual Manufacturing Software
Able to read and understand work orders and corresponding shipping documents, etc.
Excellent communication skills/written and oral
Standing or walking 100%
Lifting a minimum of 50 lbs. up to a maximum of 100 lbs.
Bending, twisting, reaching, pushing and pulling
