Job Description:
POSITION PURPOSE
Plan, direct, and coordinate the storage and distribution operations of products and materials.
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Establish standard and emergency operating procedures for receiving, handling, storing, and shipping of products and materials.
Confer with other departments to coordinate warehouse activities.
Plan, develop, and implement warehouse safety and security programs and activities.
Review work orders, consumption reports, and demand forecasts to estimate peak delivery periods and issue work assignments.
Supervise the activities of workers engaged in receiving, storing, and shipping products or materials.
Maintain overall cleanliness and orderliness in the warehouse.
Guard against theft of product.
Inspect physical condition of warehouse and equipment and prepare work orders for maintenance and /or repair.
Develop and implement plans for facility modification or expansion, such as equipment purchase or changes in space allocation or structural design.
Interview, select, and train warehouse and supervisory personnel.
Purchase or prepare documents to purchase new or additional stock and recommend disposal of excess, defective, or obsolete stock.
Confer with purchasing personnel and vendors regarding procurement and stock availability.
Schedule surface pickup, delivery, or distribution of products or materials.
Minimize subcontractor presence in the warehouse.
Prepare or direct preparation of correspondence, reports, and operations maintenance and safety manuals.
Examine products or materials to estimate quantities or weight and type of container required for storage and/or transport.
Other duties, as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be eighteen years of age
Must pass the Drug Test
Must pass the Background Check
Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable
EDUCATION REQUIRED - The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diplomas and/or GED.
YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE - 5
CERTIFICATES/LICENSES -
PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS - Most all of the time is spent sitting in the same position or standing/walking or there is some requirement to lift or handle material or equipment of moderate weight (8-20 pounds).
