FLEET MANAGER
Private Fleet has opening for a Manager. Fleet Manager directs trucking and scheduling activities for the effective delivery of products to our customers. Facilitates hiring of drivers and monitors their performance, equipment expense, accidents and compliance with all applicable Federal Motor Carrier Safety regulation, department of Transportation and State traffic laws.
Prepares weekly schedules and drivers' assignments via dispatch logistics report. Trains and assists Drivers and Transportation Department employees as necessary. Monitors Drivers compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety regulations hours of service, trip report, RPM/Speed, fuel tax, accident or T-minus 60 window, and all reports generated by PeopleNET on board truck computer.
Maintains a communication plan with drivers and customers by monitoring locations of Drivers and equipment with PeopleNET GPS, data and cellular technology. Works under direct supervision of the Director of Transportation. Will interact with sales, accounting, purchasing, production control, manufacturing, truck loading, sales and services, other company departments and customers as necessary.
