TERMINAL MANAGER

Manages daily operations of a transportation terminal. Coordinates shipments and supervised drivers. Performs under the general direction of an operations manager or other division manager. Selects, assigns, instructs and evaluates truck drivers. Prepares trip sheets for drivers with directions, load weights, delivery time, etc. Ensures company power units are properly loaded. Maintains fuel records. Maintains inventory of truck supplies. Advised shippers of availability of equipment. Considerable knowledge of trucking operations and equipment involved. Considerable knowledge of trucking operations and equipment involved. Considerable knowledge of Federal and State regulations applicable to transportation operations, licenses and permits. Ability to effectively plan work procedure, equipment, material and manpower needs. Ability to maintain complete, accurate records. Ability to effectively build and lead a productive work group; and to perform as a member of a management team. Ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing.
