Position Title: Tailoring Supervisor – Tuxedo Rental Division

Location: Pittston Distribution Center
185 Center Point Blvd.
Pittston, PA. 18640

Schedule / Hours: Hours will fluctuate dictated by volumes. Weekends will be required
during high volume periods. Must be able to work various shifts if
required.

Responsibilities: Supervise manpower of the tailoring department within the Tuxedo Rental assembly process. The successful candidate must be able to provide effective leadership in a fast paced, time sensitive operation.

Duties:
•Effectively supervise manpower in a distribution Tuxedo production assembly process.
•Meet production goals as determined by management
•Provide training for employees and promote self-development.
•Maintain employee attendance records.
•Identify and address performance issues.
•Write and issue performance evaluations.
•Work with other departments within the distribution center to solve merchandise processing and shipping problems.
•Participate in daily planning meetings with all Tuxedo Rental functional managers.
•Interact with and maintain a positive relationship with management, department staff, store personnel, and vendors.
•Maintain a clean and safe work area.
•Maintain equipment inventory.
•Maintain a high quality work environment.
•Assist manager in the development of plans to accomplish departmental goals. (Production and Resource planning)
•Document and track metrics to measure efficiency of department
•Special projects as needed.
•Ensure employee morale is kept at a high standard
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
•Must have 1 year of experience as a Tailor and leadership role in a tailoring environment
•Have a working knowledge of Industrial type Blind Stitch and Straight Stitch sewing machines.
•Ability to verbally communicate effectively (i.e.; with staff, buyers, vendors, store personnel, etc.).
•Proficiency in Microsoft office products to include Excel, Word and Outlook.
•Professional manner.
•Ability to prioritize and organize work related tasks and special projects.
•Ability to work in a time-sensitive environment and meet tight deadlines
•Above average written and verbal communication skills.
•Ability to adapt to a changing environment (i.e.; increased hours and volume of work, staffing shortages, tools, procedures, etc.)
•Work well in a team environment.
•Highly initiative and detailed oriented.
•Good problem solving skills.
•Ability to assign work fairly and according to employee’s competency.
•Good customer service skills.
