NOC Supervisor

Seeking a NOC Supervisor for its Northern Virginia Operations Center. This is a visible position and an excellent opportunity for the right candidate.

The NOC Supervisor is responsible for the timely identification/resolution of network/customer faults and outages as well as supporting the overall NOC mission.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
•Work shift to shift (1st, 2nd) in the Network Operations Center
*Should have Team Lead /Supervisory Experience (will manage 2-3 people)
•Function as technical lead/serve as internal technical escalation point/”on-call” resource
•Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve customer service effecting faults/outages
•1st / 2nd level support of external/internal customers and partners/vendors
•Maintain/update internal databases/systems and assist NOC documentation requirements
•Assist in the training and technical development of other NOC personnel
•Other related duties as assigned by NOC Management
REQUIREMENTS
•3-5 years of direct telecom, networking or Internet Service Provider experience (strong technical education/training/aptitude will be considered in lieu of work experience)
•CCNA or other advanced technical/networking certifications
•Advanced technical knowledge accompanied by excellent trouble shooting skills
•Proficient with standard network systems and software, i.e. NMS, Visio, Remedy, etc.
•Advanced knowledge of TDM, T1/T3, E1/E3, STM/OC, Frame Relay, ATM, TCP/IP, BGP, DNS, VPN, MPLS, routing/switching (emphasis on networking).
