Direct Sales Manager
The Sales Manager will be responsible for implementing and maintaining an aggressive sales program for the Direct/Outside distribution channel within the assigned region in order to achieve market and budget objectives. The position will require recruiting, training and managing the Sales Associates in the market.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement a balanced network of direct sales activity in the region.
Responsible for handling all employee relation issues, including: hiring, training, and developing our sales associates within the market and for future growth within the company.
Administer and enforce sales and sales related market policies and procedures.
Work closely with the management team of the cluster to develop a sales and marketing business plan that will achieve the established goals for gross and net sales, cost per new sale, churn, and total sales revenues are met.
Work closely with cluster management to ensure all marketing communications are effectively initiated.
Report on a monthly/weekly basis to management regarding direct sales goals, objectives and other issues related to the productivity of the direct sales channel.
Responsible to ensure that communication between other departments and the direct sales channel is met.
Reports on all competitive issues with other Cellular, PCS providers/agents.
Responsible for training and development of sales associates.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Travel as necessary.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or state equivalency certification required. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a related field preferred.
Two years of sales experience required. Outside sales experience preferred. Wireless/Telecom sales/sales management experience a plus.
One to two years sales management experience preferred.
Strong background in training and development of sales associates preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
Working knowledge of cellular/paging/PCS/advanced wireless communication preferred.
Working knowledge of PC Windows applications (Excel and Word) required.
Strong organizational skills required.
