The Business Service Technician Fully Qualified must possess the skills, training & qualifications to perform the following work: install, remove, rearrange, program & maintain electronic key service units, Nortel key telephone systems, stored program hybrid or Nortel Meridian PABX business telephone systems, long line treatment equip, special service circuit equip, channel svc units, channel banks, digital service units & data modems. Prepare & maintain all records on terminals, facilities, business systems programs and other records required by the company. Perform routine preventative maintenance on business telecom systems, distribution frames, terminal and other associated equipment
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Required:
1. HS grad. or equiv.,Assoc.Degree in Electronics or 2-4 yrs work exp.in telecom industry or related field. Possess & maintain a valid drivers license.
2. Must have successfully completed ISDN/DSL trng with 1 yr exp. in trouble shooting&installation of ISDN&DSL service.
3. Satisfactorily complete co.school in basic electricity(AC&DC),electronics school or pass equiv.test,basic outside plant,include pole climbing&various tech courses on install/maint of station wiring,& electronic key&PBX or equiv experience.
4. Able to distinguish between all colors;able to work at heights of 20-30 ft.;able to work from ladders, platforms or poles;able to lift 50 lbs.from ground level to chest height.
5. Able to lift&carry a ladder(75 lbs.)a distance of 50 ft.,extend ladder to the max. height,brace it on side of pole or bldg.,lower it&return it to its original position on vehicle. Ability to work with minimal supervision.

6. TCP/IP and LAN/WAN knowledge and CISCO VOIP
7. Nortel Meridian and Norstar
8. Windows 95/NT exp.
In Addition:
9. Also required: Possess an acceptable performance,attendance&safety record. Available to work overtime & accept call-outs. Good oral/written communication skills.
10. Prefer customer contact exp.,basic trouble shooting/problem resolution skills.
