Support Sciences Scientist II

Performs key routine procedures with minimum supervision according to established SOP's. May be asked to develop new procedures.
Performs key nonroutine procedures with general direction according to established SOP's. May be asked to develop new procedures.
Prepares reports, e-mails and memos to a targeted audience defined by the supervisor. Correspondence may be approved by the supervisor prior to sending.
Administers laboratory systems (safety, calibration, documentation, inventory, etc.)
Assumes full responsibility for maintaining training on required SOP's, technical and safety requirements. Receives and provides cross-training on required SOP's, technical and safety requirements.

As a CIBA Vision associate, you are expected to know, understand, and comply with all applicable safety and health standards and rules.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with scientific coursework. BS plus 2 years relevant experience. MS, entry level. Math through calculus
including working knowledge of statistics. Familiarity with spreadsheets & word processing. Technical writing ability. Appropriate lab techniques in relevant scientific discipline.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: MS in scientific discipline. mS, entry level. Same as minimum but with broader knowledge
