Performance of technical work and physiological measurements in a preclinical laboratoryUtilize standard laboratory equipment (e.g., ECG, balances)Familiarity with computer record-keeping systems is desirableOn-the-job training and continuing education regarding techniquesPerform all work in conformance with FDA, EPA, OSHA and other governmental regulations
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:Bachelor's degree in a Biological Science or equivalent0-2 years of experience in an animal research facility/veterinary practice environmentCertification as an Assistant Laboratory Animal Technician (ALAT) or equivalent is highly desirableMust be able to access laboratory equipment on bench tops while using both hands to perform manual dexterity operationsStrict attention to detail and follow-up skills are essentialExcellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills, are necessaryAble to work routine overtime (evenings, weekends, holidays) as neededNo known allergies to animalsMust have the ability to regularly lift up to 35 pounds
