Scientist- Genetic Services

Responsibilities: In this position, you will be responsible for the implementation and transfer of new technologies and methods from other departments and companies into production. As the liaison on technical issues between production and internal and/or external clients, the Scientist ensures that new product/service designs, updates, revisions, modifications, and implementations are closely managed and effectively communicated and transferred to production in the most efficient manner. This position provides process technical support to the Production Department and represents the department on technology transition issues. Essential duties: serve as the main point of contact between Genetic Services and other departments on the dissemination of new technology, transitions R&D processes into production-level processes, ensures smooth transition of R&D processes into production through the development and implementation of protocols and SOPs, provides bioinformatics support for the Services Group (including, but not limited to assay design, data mining, data analysis, and project reporting), troubleshoots material and/or process problems, responsible for research and/or development in collaboration with others for projects, exercises technical discretion (in the design, execution, and interpretation of experiments) that contribute to project strategies, prepares technical reports/summaries and protocols as well as quantitative analyses, contributes to project process within their scientific discipline, investigates and creates/develops new methods and technologies for project advancement, maintains high level of professional expertise through familiarity with scientific literature, works on extremely complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangible variables.If you are not a local candidate but are relocating, please inform me of your arrangements (i.e., date and city/state you are relocating to).Kforce (NASDAQ: KFRC) is a full-service specialty staffing firm providing flexible and permanent staffing solutions for organizations and career management for individuals in the specialty skill areas of information technology, finance & accounting, human resources, engineering, pharmaceutical, health care and scientific.
