Reliability Engineer
Responsibilities: Responsibilities for the Reliability Engineer include: Provide expertise on Maintenance Engineering and the application of Total Productive Maintenance philosophies. Provide technical expertise within a specialty field(s). Support the Irvine manufacturing business units, Engineering, and QA/QC. Apply knowledge and experience with continuous improvement and lean manufacturing processes such as Total Productive Maintenance, Visual Factory Management, Value Stream Mapping, 6S, SMED (Quick Changeover), Mistake-proofing, and Kaizen Blitz. Research, develop, and prepare specifications for improvements to existing and/or new products, processes, equipment, and technology. Support projects by contributing to the development of engineering solutions, project schedules, tracking costs, preparing status reports, conducting team meetings, attending team meetings, communicating issues and progress to management. Prepare RCIs including project description, schedule, and costs. Prepare and present technical investigative reports to middle level management. Moderate degree of both internal and external personnel interfaces. Prepare specifications and protocols for the development, testing and qualification of equipment, processes and products.
