Project Manager - CCI

This position will be for our Construction group, Environmental division for NavyRAC projects. The Project Manager (PM), under general supervision, is fully responsible for the overall operation, including technical performance, of a project. This position could be located in our Jacksonville office or possibly any of our offices in the southeast region. This position is for our Construction division, Environmental group. The PM plans and manages all activities for projects and generally represents the company with respect to the client. The PM manages administration and project schedules; provides expert technical consultation services to project teams, government agencies and clients, ensures that company goals are realized while maintaining client relations that will enhance future business. The PM has authority for independent action, exercise of judgement and discretion within the limits of company policy. Typical projects at this level are in the $500,000 to $100,000,000 range.

KEY DUTIES:


Reads and understands engineering drawings and the diverse technical elements, processes and activities of the project; develops estimates; interprets specifications; manages and directs projects start-up and phase out.
Writes, negotiates and administers contracts.

Works to establish good relationships with public and private agencies and business.

Enforces civil and government regulations involving the project.

Exhibits general capabilities in regard to construction method and costs.

Exercises cost efficient and innovative approaches to save construction dollars and improve productivity.

Plans and schedules project-related activities and monitors project schedules and plans.

Organizes manpower for the project; directs and delegates to the project team and provides leadership and coaching of project team.

Anticipates, recognizes and identifies key issues surrounding solutions to the problems and directs their implementation.

Maintains quality assurance in compliance with company policy.

Maintains fiscal control and manages the cash flow of the project, including monthly project status reports and ETC Reports.

Manages subcontractors, including cost, schedule and safety.

Responsible for project safety performance.

Responsible for design-center performance, including schedule and budget.

Participates in meetings to present information to advisory groups and committees.




job Requirements


Basic Qualifications:


B.S. or M.S. in Construction Management, Science or Engineering.

8 years construction project management experience required.

Microsoft office. Must be able to travel.

Preferred Qualifications:


B.S. or M.S. in Science or Engineering.

Serving in the project manager role on engineering projects may require a Professional Engineer’s license.

Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute or as a Certified Construction Manager (CCM) by the Construction Management Association of America (or approved equivalents) is expected but not required.
8 to 15 years of relevant experience.

Navy experience.

MS Project or Primavera experience preferred. Background check and drug test required.
