Chemist/Chemical Lab Technician

The Franklin Company is recruiting for a temp to perm assignment, in conjunction with our client, a leader in providing specialty chemicals and materials for pulp and paper, paints, adhesives, construction materials, food, pharmaceuticals and personal care,

We are looking for a chemist/chemical lab tech. This position requires strong laboratory skills to support product development
and fundamental research efforts. These efforts support the application of water soluble polymer products in architectural paints. The primary lab activities are preparation and testing of paint formulations. The candidate should deliver extensive formulation testing results with high productivity and quality.

Preference given to local candidates - NO RELOCATION PACKAGE
Masters and PhDs will NOT be considered
REQUIREMENTS
AS in chemistry, engineering related disciplines or BS degree in other fields with experience.

Strong lab skills, preferably with paint formulation/testing and/or synthesis experience.

High standards of record keeping and housekeeping

Good writing and oral communication skills, and PC skills.

This assignment will become permanent after 3 months for the right candidate
