Hours: F/T 40 hours--Reposted 9/5/06Maintains and operates cardiac hemodynamic and radiological equipment to assist the cardiologist during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. Must have considerable knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology, electrocardiographic rhythm recognition, hemodynamic pressures and emergency cardiac procedures. Day shift, variable hours.As a teaching hospital, Hartford Hospital is a primary affiliate of the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and Dentistry for both graduate and undergraduate medical education.

REQUIREMENTS
Must have considerable knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology, electrocardiographic rhythm recognition, hemodynamic pressures and emergency cardiac procedures. BCLS required. Interventional Cardiac Catheterization Lab experience strongly preferred. Graduate of Certified Cardiovascular Technician or Radiology Technologist program preferred. An associates degree or diploma in an accredited Allied Health program with 1-2 years experience in an appropriate health care position will be considered. Certification as RCIS at hire or must be achieved within two years of employment.
