Day Shift Lab Tech (Full-Time Position) Laboratory duties include but are not limited to serving as a medical technologist/technician on the evening/night shift. The technologist is responsible for performing a variety of procedures, evaluating abnormal results, using and maintaining equipment, monitoring quality control of all automated and semi automated instrumentation in the lab to include; chemistry, hematology, coagulation and urinalysis. Performs basic and complex procedures in the lab such as hematology profiles, differential counts, coagulation studies, reticulocyte counts, sedimentation rates, urine profiles with microscopic and chemistry profiles. Performs routine and complex procedures in Transfusion Service i.e., compatibility testing, antibody detection and identification, special patient-donor typing, donor processing, adverse reaction investigations, and others as assigned.
