Biologist

Purpose: We are seeking a multidisciplinary Aquatic
Invertebrate Taxonomist, for an employee-owned environmental consulting firm in Gainesville, FL. A minimum of 3 yrs of experience in the taxonomic identification of aquatic invertebrates is required.
Position participates in and manages field sampling, taxonomic identification of biological samples, data management, statistical
analyses and interpretation as well as report writing. Experience in a wide variety of statistical techniques, FDEP certification for conducting
Stream Condition Index sampling, and experience in water quality field sampling is preferred. Other duties
required are maintaining sampling equipment; keeping proper records; sorting, collecting and handling samples and related activities.
Applicant must be able to use computer software to analyze and report technical info. Qualified candidates will have a minimum of
4 yrs, of college in a related program/field and 3 years of experience.Classification:Direct PlacementCompensation:
