IBM Server & Storage Solution Sales
My client is one of the top IBM Premier Partners in the US and is growing fast. This growth and expansion is requiring additional sales executives to get the word out and the gear in at their many new and existing clients all over the US. Their focus is on selling in both the commercial and public sector markets and they’re heavily involved in SMB business as well. They have an infrastructure-centric approach to their strategy of delivering the best possible design and support of server and storage based solutions available. With thousands of satisfied customers to their name, nearly half-a-billion in revenue, and some of the top leadership in the industry, they offer a real value-add that is unbeatable.
REQUIREMENTS
One of their key differentiators is their people who are not only great at what they do but who are technically astute and, in many cases, in possession of one or more IBM certification.
Baseline requirements to work with my client include:
·BA or BS or equivalent required – this is not up for debate. A degree is a MUST.
·5+ years of successful sales experience in customer facing environments with strong presentation skills.
·Skills should include understanding of storage including mainframe, UNIX, and/or Wintel environments.
·System level understanding of Disk environments with advanced copy functions such as Flash Copy, TimeFinder, PPRC/SRDF, and XRC.
·Storage Management software knowledge with ECC, TPC, TSM, Content Manager, Veritas, and SAN Management.
·We’d also love to see sales certifications in IBM servers and/or storage solutions – in an ideal world. And, if you don’t already have them, you’ll work to obtain and maintain the appropriate IBM professional certifications.
·Definite “A” player credentials including consistent over-quota performance and job stability.
·A “book of business” of at least 5 – 10 accounts you are able to get in to see without any issues.
·A strong desire and proven ability to sell in the hottest space going – the NAS/SAN and server market.
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, would be to sell the full family of IBM server, software, and storage solutions to private and public sector accounts in your territory. You’ll do deals directly and in conjunction with a top-notch team of other sales professionals, systems engineers, IBM sales folks and your own company’s services team. Because our client is very customer-focused a big part of your role will be to achieve and maintain the highest-possible levels of customer satisfaction. This is a total solution sale that leverages the strength of the IBM products and my client’s skill set and technical expertise. You’ll also develop, cultivate and maintain strong relationships with appropriate customer and IBM personnel as part of your sales methodology.
Compensation includes a base in the $60K to $70K range with an excellent percentage of GP for an OTE of $175K to $200K+ and benefits.
