Director, Go Red for Women

Help us save lives by raising money for the Go Red For Women Luncheon and other assigned events for the American Heart Association!!

We are seeking an organized, enthusiastic, self-motivated person to work as part of a team to plan and execute a major fund-raising event, manage and reach fundraising goals, and work with volunteers. Daily travel is required throughout the Tempe/Phoenix area.

Primary Responsibilities:
* Raise funds for the annual Go Red For Women Luncheon and other assigned events.
* Prospect and obtain sponsorships.
* Conduct sales calls to generate new business and manage existing companies.
* Develop effective working relationships with volunteers, sponsors and donors.
* Manage assigned logistics, account database and budgets.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
* BA degree or equivalent experience in sales, fund raising and/or marketing.
* 2-4 year’s relevant sales experience.
* Volunteer management experience preferred.
* Knowledge of computer software, including but not limited to, Microsoft Office products.
* Ability to conceptualize, work under pressure and multi-task.
* Highly skilled and effective in oral and written communications.
* Ability to travel and work flexible hours as needed.
