Business to Business Sales Manager - Based anywhere in US
This job can be based anywhere in the country, one position on the East Coast and another on the West Coast
The RSM will across their territory be responsible for securing new business from the target market. The RSM will also work with existing customers to recognize growth opportunities and support delivery of them.
Specifically:
1. Assumes responsibility for existing accounts and continues building upon existing relationships
2. Generates new business leads through prospecting, cold calls, marketing analysis/targeting key accounts and trade show operations
3. Maintains positive public relations through professional association membership, association committee membership and trade shows
4. Assumes responsibility for targeting new business.
5. Generates contact specific and formal monthly sales reports for President and Vice President, Supplier Relations
6. Assumes responsibility for meeting annual new business budget goals as set by Vice President, Supplier Relations
7. Promotes all STA Travel products and services whenever possible
8. Develop territory wide business plans that lead to profitable growth for the different business units.
9. Use marketing research and insights to develop strategies that will resonate with targeted customers to drive revenue and profit growth
10. Interface closely with marketing, and internal business units to develop impactful tools that support business growth.
11. Design and propose commercial agreements appropriate to customer base.
12. Negotiate and effectively manage agency agreements and other contracts
13. Assists Vice President, Supplier Relations in annual new business budget preparation
14. Ensure budget and fiscal compliance
15. Responsible for budget management of programs and for general and administrative expenses
16. Performs other related duties as requested
REQUIREMENTS
Skills:
Project Management/Organization – Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines, organize and complete multiple projects efficiently and on time. This is a self starter who thrives with minimal supervision.
Business Acumen – Solid understanding of the role B2B plays in strategic planning; ability to transform key data into clear business commentary and action points; ability to summarize results with a focus on business implications and decisions
Communication Skills – Provide actionable reporting of projects via written reports or presentations, strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to clearly communicate results and conclusions to various constituencies.
Interpersonal Skills – Ability to work as part of a diverse team and interact effectively with all levels of management; ability to build cooperative, productive relationships.
Leadership Ability – Ability to successfully guide and consult with internal partners in creating a vision, establishing an agenda, and mobilizing the organization around key priorities; experience with coaching, counseling, and developing direct reports in their roles.
Decision Making/Recommending Ability - Strong analytical, creative and problem solving skills with drive for results. Understands target customers total business objectives with ability to recommend appropriate solutions.
Software Aptitude – Strong knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint, ACT!
