JOB SUMMARY:
The Account Coordinator reports to the Account Manager, small group markets, and is responsible for sales to employer groups with less than 100 eligibles and sales and service to brokers/agents/consultants in that market segment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintains the account management database and provides reports as requires for use by National Director, Account Management.
Responsible for ensuring all new account issue briefs are input in a timely manner and that databases are maintained and updated for Sales and Account Management.
Works as requested with National Account Execs., Account Managers, Account Reps, and the Account Service Team to ensure proper and accurate implementation of all new business.
Coordinates and participates in health fairs and implementations; maintains responsibility for supplying whatever backup materials are needed.
Performs specialized duties as requested (such as development of new report formats, event planning, binders and documents for presentations, etc.).
Answers telephones, screens calls, greets visitors and provides requested support for the Account Management Team.
Coordinates, organizes and schedules staff meetings and maintains the department calendar of events.
Produces reports, memos, letters, forms, proposals, and other data on the PC using various software packages.
Handles travel arrangements for all staff and follows up on expense reports, etc.
Organize, set-up and maintain department files.
Opens and distributes mail.
Maintains inventories of materials used for sales client implementation and prepares materials as requested for presentations, promotions, trade shows, etc.
Coordinates schedules of key MHN staff as needed for meetings.
Other duties as assigned.
May require 30-50% travel.
REQUIREMENTS
REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
College degree.
Experience:
Previous experience designing presentation materials, maintaining databases and event planning.
Fluency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Visio.
Excellent oral and written communication skills; excellent grammar.
Effective organizational and prioritization skills.
Effective interpersonal skills; interacting with clients and staff members; and excellent presentation skills.
Ability to handle pressure due to multiple demands and short turn around times.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills, are essential.

Any combination of academic education, professional training or work experience, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
