Beacon is seeking an experienced Inside Sales Representative for our Hartford, CT market.

Responsible to the Branch Manager, this position services area choice contractors either on the phone or at the sales counter. Successful candidate must be a self-motivated team player with strong communication skills and a strong commitment to customer service requirements. Will coordinate closely with our Outside Sales force and with drivers and warehouse personnel to meet our customers’ needs in a timely and efficient manner. Prior experience selling roofing and other building materials to contractors is preferred.

Successful candidate will be required to:
Sell building materials to a choice customer base.
Assist walk-in customers with building product purchasing needs
Handle incoming calls from area customers
Develop new sales opportunities through calls to potential new customers over the telephone.
Enter sales orders and cash transactions into company software
REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Internet, Word and Excel
Ability to learn company computer system
Must be self-motivated, and enthusiastic about our business
Must have excellent customer service skills and attitude
Must be detail oriented
Must be analytical and able to solve problems
Must have good verbal and written communication skills
