PERSONNEL SUPERVISED:Photographers in the District
POSITION SUMMARY:Provides operational direction for an assigned district. This includes managing the assigned district team of Preschool Photographers, leads, supervisors, account executives and other team members through an effective process of orientation/integration, goal setting, training and development and performance feedback. Ensure quality production of all product lines. Meet or exceed operational goals in quality, efficiency and profitability.
POSITION SCOPE:Responsible for the following:
•10- 30 photographers located in a 3 – 6 state area
•2 - 5 clerical staff
•Servicing of 1,000 – 2,000 accounts representing$3 – 5 million in net salesPRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:•Supervise photography staff within district. Accountable for photography within the assigned district. This includes:
•Setting clear goals for account retention, account rebooking and consumer participation
•Monitor photography activity so that it meets or exceeds company expectations
•Forecasting hiring and staffing needs appropriately
•Weekly and monthly follow up on performance of district photography staff
•Conducting on-site photographer evaluations at various preschool centers
•Conducting formal performance appraisals on each photographer at the end of each season.
•Conduct photography training modules at the start of the fall and spring seasons
•Ensure photographer compliance with, and accuracy of paperwork, and all other photographic processes.
•Work with Production to ensure jobs meet lab standards.
•Establish weekly and seasonal scheduling requirements per photographer and monitor for efficiency
•Provide on-going performance management, counseling and documentation for staff with communication to Regional Sales and Operations Manager and/or Human Resources as appropriate.
•Ensure all company operations and P and L goals for the district are met
•Work with Finance Ensure center collections in the district are reconciled within 30 days.•Work with RSOM and Finance to develop yearly budgets and periodic forecasts for the District.
•Manage all expenses in the District to stay within budget
•Collaborate with the District Sales Manager as needed
•Ensure positive and productive working relationships between sales and photography teams.
•Timely and accurate submission of payroll hours and units to district staff.
•Ensure compliance with all company policies within the District.
•Remain current on all company photographic programs, processes and procedures
•Provide input to Regional Sales and Operations Manager on opportunities for performance improvements in the District and/or company.
•Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:•Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or related field OR equivalent work experience required.
•One year photography experience preferred
•Supervisory experience strongly preferred
•Previous experience leading, motivating and training others
•Strong computer skills including experience using MS Word and MS Excel
•Excellent verbal, and written communication skills•Display positive and professional image
•Must be able to travel up to 40% of the time
•Proven ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships
•Ability to multi-task
