Orlando Sentinel Communications is seeking candidates for:

Account Executive - Retail/Orange

To make aggressive daily selling presentations with specific media recommendations, and major multi-media marketing presentations, both in and out of the market, to potential and existing accounts and advertising agencies of Orlando Sentinel Communications. To sell the Orlando market against other markets in which national advertisers conduct business in order to achieve the division revenue budget and operating plan goals. Maintain a complete and accurate record of each account’s performance and take any necessary corrective action to achieve the division revenue budget and operating goals.
The highest level of verbal communication skills and public presentation ability are required in order to work with the largest and most critical clients.
Tact and persuasion are necessary to constantly improve linage and revenue and sustain long-term working relationships with the most prestigious clients.
Ability to organize time on a daily basis and handle multiple projects continually. Plan, prepare and present major advertising campaigns, both in and out of market, and work with management in preparing and negotiating special contracts.
Must have in-depth knowledge of advertising layout and black and white and color printing as well as a thorough knowledge of, and skill in, applying principles of effective marketing.
Must be able to interface effectively with major advertising agencies.
Must have a valid driver’s license and accessible transportation to make account calls throughout the territory and be able to travel on company business throughout the country. Must be able to attend client entertainment functions.
REQUIREMENTS
Looking for the upper echelon of sales talent! Must Must have prior media sales background. Multi Media, Print and be familiar with the industry. To assume the sales responsibility for assigned accounts and classifications. Maintain a complete and accurate record of each account’s performance and take any necessary corrective action to achieve the division revenue budget and operating goals. To maintain a high level of knowledge of the newspaper industry, the assigned classifications and all accounts within the assignment.

Should have college degree or equivalent related work experience.
