What Do You Need To Succeed?

•Two to three years Restaurant Management experience
•Experience running FOH, BOH and Catering simultaneously
•Ability to multi-task, making rapid, effective decisions
•Ability to work varied shifts and days of the week
•Fast casual experience is a plus

What is Corner Bakery Cafe?
We started on a corner in downtown Chicago in 1991, evolving over the years from one true bakery to a collection of destinations for people in their communities. We have gone through quite a transformation by responding to our guests and built our menu based on their requests – sandwiches, soups, Panini, desserts and more. As the brand successfully grew and expanded into cities across the country, Il Fornaio, an upscale Italian dinner house, in partnership with BRS, an equity investment firm, purchased Corner Bakery Cafe in 2006 to further grow and develop the brand. Since 1995, BRS has invested in more than 30 companies in a wide range of industries. The firm is probably best known for its restaurant investments, which include Il Fornaio, McCormick & Schmick’s, Chevy’s Mexican Restaurants, California Pizza Kitchen and Au Bon Pain.

REQUIREMENTS
* 2+ years experience as Manager or General Manager of a restaurant

* Ability to multi-task - making fast, effective decisions

* Ability to supervisor and direct FOH, BOH and Catering operations simultaneously

* Knowledge of and ability to increase financial standings of the store
