Performs job functions to support the following Food Service operational systems: safe food handling, volume food production, menu development and modification, meal assembly and portion control, inventory management and infection control/sanitation. Follows established policies and procedures to ensure compliance with JCAHO, Title XXII and other applicable regulatory requirements.As a team member, you will play an important role by collaborating with others and contributing toward our mission and values.Scripps Green Hospital, located next to Torrey Pines Golf Course above the beautiful shores of La Jolla, has the advantages of a smaller, community-style hospital with a university-oriented focus on research and development in advanced medicine. REQUIREMENTS
Preferred Qualifications: Three years experience in quantity food preparation and production including experience in at least three of the following: High Volume Food Production, Variable Menus, Modified Menus, Catering, Compliance with Standardized Recipes, Inventory Management. Must be able to read, write and speak English, follow oral and written instructions, have basic math skills, basic problem solving, organizational and leadership skills, and basic computer data entry and retrieval skills (e.g. food ordering, cash register, etc.). Experience with HACCP processes required.
