JOB SUMMARY:Provides patient tray assembly, cart and tray delivery, pod stocking and inventory, dirty tray cart retrieval, sanitation and set up for patient and non-patient services on a daily basis. Under the direction of the operational supervisor.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:1.Assists employees in setting up work areas; checks work areas to insure proper set up and operation.2.Participates in the preparation, operation, cleaning and delivery functions of the trayline and other assigned areas.3.Clean and Sanitize all areas of the Food Services Department, including all dishes, pots, pans and food Carts. Mop floors. Take out trash.4.Record temperature of all food, dish machines and refrigerators in the work area.5.Observes all safety, health and fire regulations and precautions.PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS, ENVIRONMENT:1-5.Required to speak clearly, read and write in English and perform basic mathematical calculations. Required to lift 50 lbs., push heavy carts, stoop, bend, and reach and repeatedly stand for extended periods of time. Required to operate equipment necessary to complete daily functions. Required to know what chemicals and how to use them properly to clean, organize, and sanitize work area.EQUIPMENT USED: 1-5.Silver carts, tall carts, short carts. Loweraders (plate, tray, bowl), base dispenser, steamtable, milkshake machine, toaster warming oven, microwave oven, bread bagger, coffee machine, ice tea machine, blender. Dishwasher, conveyor belts, fans, mop buckets with wringer. Chemicals, dish machine, sinks, garbage disposal and hoses.ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS:1.Up to the discretion of the supervisor on a daily basis.
