The Broward Center for the Performing Arts is looking for a talented, energetic Catering Event Manager to assist the Director of Food and Beverages in the delivery of first class catering services and events, first class customer service, and high quality products, in order to increase revenues and uphold the image of the BCPA as a premiere performing arts center.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
•plan and implement all details of catering events
•provide clients with exemplary customer service from initial contact and contract to event.
•develop and maintain successful, professional catering staff.
•design creative menus appropriate for each event and client.
•ensure clients receive first-rate product and service.
•promote catering standards of service with staff at all times.
•train staff on all aspects of their responsibilities to ensure effective business practices.
•effectively schedule staff for all Catered events.
•complete client contracts and collect and process payment of events.
•maintain high standards of cleanliness and food quality at all times.
•create and deliver catering marketing strategies to increase sales opportunities
•management of all areas of the gift shop operations
•provide on and off site catering services.
•invoice processing.

REQUIREMENTS

•must work flexible hours including mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends,
•interact with clients and potential clients in a polite and courteous manner at all times.
•maintain accurate and user-friendly client files and documentation on all communications per established procedures.
•communicate effectively in English to clients and staff
•skilled in windows based programs including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
•able to work well with clients and staff.
•able to multi task.
•able to handle money to accurately collect payment for events and process with finance.
•able to work effectively and positively with others at all times.
•2 year degree
•5 Years Food and Beverage/Catering industry experience desired
