Banquet Sous Chef

Job Responsibilities:
The Sous Chef position at Gaylord Palms will ensure food is prepared and presented according to set standards at all time, monitoring for taste, visual appeal and of established portions.
Train staff in safe and proper use of equipment and knives, ensuring safe practices at all times.
Comply with Health Department standards and upholds these regulations at all times.
Proper requisition, storage and utilization of food product.
Initiate administer policies and procedures relative to an effective food service operation.
Utilize employee manpower to handle the volume of expected business, adjusting as indicated.
Oversee inventory and report to Executive Chef any discrepancies.
This position is an non-exempt (overtime eligible) position with a starting pay of $35,700.
REQUIREMENTS
Job Requirements:
Team player with a positive attitude and a passion to serve.
Completion of apprenticeship or culinary school graduate.
Restaurant or convention food service and preparation experience.
