We offer the opportunity to join our team of highly motivated/qualified team of scientists, engineers and other professionals as a Toxicologist in Avon Product Safety & Integrity.
Avon Product Safety & Integrity is the Corporate Center of Excellence within Global Research & Development with responsibility for product safety and product quality standards. Our highly qualified scientists hold PhDs in disciplines ranging from pharmacology and toxicology to chemistry, cell biology and microbiology. The most up-to-date information and state-of-the-art techniques are used to both safeguard our customers, as well as maintain their confidence in the quality of our products. Our scientists participate in industry-wide and professional scientific organizations in order to access and evaluate the latest information to ensure the continued safe use of individual ingredients.As an Avon toxicologist you will conduct raw ingredient and product safety assessments in support of Avon’s cosmetic, OTC drug, dietary supplement and insect repellant businesses. Working closely with Product Development and various groups within Product Safety & Integrity (e.g., Microbiology, Clinical Evaluation, Analytical, Cell Biology & In Vitro Toxicology), you will coordinate both internal and external safety studies (note that Avon does not conduct animal testing on ingredients or finished products) and develop proficiency in all aspects of risk assessment.
REQUIREMENTS
We require a Ph.D. in toxicology or related technical discipline, 0-3 years relevant experience, excellent computer skills, strong interpersonal and communication skills and an appetite for new challenges.
