Toxicologist (CB/R-0706)

Lorillard Tobacco Company, America’s first tobacco company and a leading manufacturer of tobacco products has an immediate opening for a Toxicologist in our Research department.Overview of Job Responsibilities
*Serves as a specialist in one or more areas of biological or toxicological sciences.
*Assists in administering and operating aspects of the Company’s evaluational programs and provides a high level of scientific interpretation of the results.
*Recognizes, identifies and quantifies the biological and toxicological activities of materials and products of interest and communications the interpretation.
*Develops and creates, through an expert knowledge of toxicology, new knowledge in the utilization of biomarker interpretations in the interaction between biological systems and tobacco.
REQUIREMENTS
Job Requirements
*Doctorate degree in Science (toxicology, biology, biochemistry or pharmacology) or Master’s degree in Science with 6 years of experience or Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of experience
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills
