General Function: Statistics
FT/PT Status: Full TimePosition Purpose:Provide basic statistical and SAS programming support for IMS’ pharmaceutical healthcare studies and assigned research projects.Principal Accountabilities:Under supervision, gain a solid understanding and working knowledge of IMS’ projection universes and related reference files and IMS databases. Also under supervision, provides statistical methodology and programming support in the delivery of standard and custom studies and assigned market research projects. Applies statistical design and methodology to meet client information needs, employing standardized programs where applicable. Conducts statistical analyses to derive conclusions from the study and assists in preparing written summaries of study results. Assists other statisticians in preparing analysis plans and statistical reports and performs validation of statistical analysis. Works on projects of moderate scope within defined procedures and practices.Minimum Education, Experience, & Specialized Knowledge Required:Typically requires a Masters degree or a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, or related field with 2+ years of experience in market research, or applied statistics. Technical knowledge/skills include: basic understanding of univariate statistics and basic knowledge of the SAS programming language in the PC, Unix or MVS mainframe environment.
