Senior Research Toxicologist

This role requires routine conduct, monitoring and the interpretation and generation of scientific reports for regulated toxicity studies under the guideline of a development plan and management. Further, the Toxicologist must design and interpret experiments, record, tabulate and report results and significant issues to inter- and extra-departmental teams via presentations and scientific reports/memos and risk assessments. A strong knowledge of animal physiology and metabolism, as well as scientific study design, is critical to the performance of this role. A Senior Research Toxicologist must understand and follow established procedures and practices, as well as possess a good understanding of appropriate FDA, FMLH, ICH and OECD regulations and guidelines. This knowledge enables the constant need to evaluate and refine internal practice with respect to the changing regulatory environment and global needs. Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a matrix environment, are needed for daily work. A Senior Research Toxicologist with a specialty in developmental and reproductive toxicology (DART) needs to have a strong knowledge in animal fertility, reproduction, embryo/fetal and neonatal/juvenile development. Experience in gross, visceral and skeletal fetal evaluation is also necessary for interpretation of DART data.Qualifications

Preferred Education: PhD in CNS pharmacology, reproductive toxicology or metabolic disease indications. DABT
PhD in Toxicology or BS/MS in Toxicology or related science with 2+ years experience in pharmaceutical toxicology, including study design and interpretation, study report and regulatory filing documents.
