Support formulation/product development activities by performing pre-formulation studies and development of discriminating dissolution methodology.Essential job functions include: Develops new discriminating dissolution methods to be used during early formulation development activities and analyzing BA/BE study data for IVIVC/R purposes.Reviews, evaluates, and develops current methods for drug substances and performs drug characterization for APIs and in process intermediates. This includes but is not limited to determination of polymorphism, solubility, Pka values, and drug/excipient interactions.Education/Experience: BS, M.S. or Ph.D. in Pharmacy, Physical Pharmacy, Pharmaceutics, Biopharmaceutics, Analytical, or Physical Chemistry or equivalent industrial experience.Bachelors level 5 years industry experienceExperience in pre-formulation studies necessary. Must be familiar with DSC, HPLC, and dissolution. Experience in testing of various dosage forms IR tablets, ER tablets and capsules Soft gel capsules is beneficial.
