Research Specialist

Chartered in 1746, and known as the College of New Jersey until 1896, it was British North America's fourth college.Position Summary: The Research Specialist assists the director and deputy director of the Center for Arts and Cultural Policy Studies on research projects, web site maintenance, and other administrative tasks as assigned. Research-related tasks include gathering, organizing and analyzing both quantitative and qualitative data; writing research summaries; creating graphs, tables, and charts; and copy-editing research reports. Administrative tasks include correspondence, making logistical arrangements for travel and events, assistance in conference planning, updating databases, and record keeping. Also serves as back-up for the Center's program assistant, performing administrative tasks on an as-needed basis.Job Function: Technical SupportGrade: RSP 010Standard Hours: 23.56Eligible for Overtime: NoJob Requirements
Essential Qualifications: Experience using Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, Access, Powerpoint; experience in web site development and/or maintenance (Dreamweaver experience a plus); basic knowledge of statistics; ability to write clearly and succinctly; copy-editing experience; ability to locate and organize pertinent information, using library, web-based or other resources; experience creating graphs, charts, and tables. One to three years of relevant experience is required.Education Required: Bachelor's Degree
