As a Research Scientist II, you will actively participate in several ongoing discovery programs within the Endocrinology group. Experience in in vitro assay development with an understanding of cellular biology and in vivo pharmacology is required. Animal handling duties will be required in this position and experience with in vivo pharmacology is necessary. Experience in the fields of endocrinology, neuroendocrinology, or neuroscience is preferred, but not essential. Independent as well as collaborative skills are needed, as you will be working within a highly integrated and goal-oriented team environment. Strong communication, organization, and record-keeping skills are essential. Additionally, you will be expected to make oral presentations to the group, assist in preparing written reports, and monitor the scientific literature for information relating to current projects.
A B.S. degree in a scientific field with at least 8 years of relevant academic or pharmaceutical laboratory experience or a M.S. degree in a field of science with a minimum of 6 years relevant academic or pharmaceutical laboratory experience is required.
