Research Scientist II

Conducts laboratory studies to assess safety and efficacy of ingredients and formulations. Develop new assays and methods for novel endpoints. Review current scientific literature for development of new technologies. Develop written reports to communicate results in a timely manner. Identify and work with external resources for conducting efficacy testing with maximal efficacy. Critically review all reports, discuss any discrepancies with supervisor, work with external laboratories to resolve issues. Maintain cultured cell lines and frozen stocks as necessary.
REQUIREMENTS
In depth knowledge and understanding of mammalian cell biology; desired experience in skin biology. PhD in a scientific discipline with a year of experience. Experience with in vitro laboratory techniques, including the culture of mammalian cells. Experience with multiple cell and molecular biology techniques, including but not limited to protein analysis, enzyme assays, ELISA, immunohistochemistry, and qPCR. General knowledge of biohazardous safety regulations desired. Excellent communication, organization and time management skills necessary.
