Job responsibilities will include independently executing critical ADME studies, conducting tissue distribution studies to support the development of drug candidates. Responsibilities will include working with low levels of radioactivity and biological samples. The candidate will perform small animal tissue distribution studies using radiolabeled molecules, including sample collection by tissue dissection and whole body cryosectioning, and analysis using tissue oxidation/scintillation counting and phosphorimaging. In addition, the candidate may be expected to assist in small animal handling, dosing and sampling. The candidate will be expected to demonstrate proficiency in proper handling and processing of all samples collected as part of a research study, proper documentation and record keeping. Good communication skills, computer literacy, including computer data entry and maintenance of databases, and preparation of study summaries are also required.

Candidates with a Bachelor's degree must have a minimum of 6 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry conducting preclinical ADME and tissue distribution studies, or an MS with a minimum of 4 years of experience. Candidates with experience performing small animal surgery or preclinical toxicological necropsy/histopathology will also be considered. A willingness to learn and/or develop new techniques as necessary to support animal research protocols is desired.
