Development Scientist - Building Science EngineerPOSITION DESCRIPTION
We have an opportunity for a Building Scientist/Engineer in Research and Development (R&D). This individual will be responsible for testing, modeling and analysis of assemblies or part assemblies of buildings where our building products are used in order to develop industry best practices for current and future products. The work supports our global operations and applications in the markets in which we operate.
This work involves working within a R&D team with other engineers and scientists. We offer an opportunity to develop both professionally and personally. The successful candidate in this position will have the opportunity to advance within the company.QUALIFICATIONS
The candidate MUST HAVE:
Degree qualified in Science or Engineering to at least bachelor level with 3-5 years work experience in the building industry.
Experience with residential (and possibly commercial) building - particularly with framing type construction and exterior envelopes.
Experience with material and system testing.
Knowledge of standard building practices
Strong interpersonal communication, including report writing and presenting to larger groups
Excellent time/project management skills and be self-managed
Good problem solving skills
