Candidate will design novel chemical products using processes and procedures relevant to HPLC packing material, such as design and synthesis of organosilanes, silica particle, bonding chemistry, column packing and application development. Will maintain departments lab equipment and troubleshoot customer complaints. Additional requirements include demonstrated knowledge in separation science and project management. Design, synthesis and characterization of novel organosilanes.
Design novel chemical products relevant to HPLC packing materials.
Develop and evaluate novel packing for laboratory separations according to marketing input requirements.
Complete various chemical or other procedures as a basis for evaluating new or modified products.
Work with multidisciplinary teams to drive new product development.
Assist in the evaluation of novel separation products and techniques.
Perform R&D projects under quality system guidelines as described in ISO design control procedures.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: Ph.D. Degree in organic or analytical chemistry with 3-5 years of HPLC and LC/MS experience.
Extensive knowledge and experience in design, synthesis and characterization of organosilanes.
Familiar with all HPLC separation methods including LC/MS and sample preparation.
Must be a self-starter with an entrepreneurial drive.CB
