General Summary of Position Responsibility:The Research Associate I will coordinate a research project involving human subjects. Specific tasks include gathering data to pinpoint eligible participants, letter and phone recruitment, hospital visit coordination and oversight, survey administration, and data entry.Essential Job Functions:

Participate in original data gathering and data entry at CMH.
Maintain data base of gathered, relevant information.
Search data bases for relevant information.
Obtain information in printed and electronic form, review and sort it.
Maintain project records and files in orderly fashion, including an annotated bibliography.
Assist with data cleaning and analysis, and report writing.
Coordinate material submissions and revisions for research study IRB and GCRC approval.
Coordinate communication between research study and facilitating nursing staff.
At times, coordinate the work of other research assistants.
Organize and oversee monthly meetings of a hospital committee.
Assist with various office duties as necessary including phone, filing, and copying needs.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Bachelor’s degree preferred (Health Science)
Experience working with computer software, including word processing and spreadsheets.
Attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, experience working in an office environment, filing, copying, and developing internal systems to manage workflow is required.
Bi-lingual required (Spanish speaking)
