Do you have strong knowledge of Food and/or Beverage Technology, Chemistry or Engineering, including processing and manufacturing?

Do you have 3 - 5 years experience in the Food / Food Ingredients industry with a BS in Chemistry, Food Science or Chemical Engineering?
Fortune 500 Food Company is seeking a creative, innovative professional for the position of Product Applications Scientist - Sweeteners. Will work together with Marketing and Supply Chain colleagues to develop new beverages. This position offers an Excellent Benefits and Compensation package!

Job Responsibilities:

Strong project manager and developer who will lead cross-functional teams to bring new products to the marketplace;

Develop new beverages and food in response to IPM briefs from development. Develop project budget and timelines for each project;

Applications of the knowledge of properties & interactions of raw materials to the development & manufacturing of new products and improvement of existing products;

Development of processing and manufacturing standards for new and existing products;

Accountable for overall documentation and communication of formula for assigned brands;

Provide technical leadership and expertise, and trouble shooting of formulation, quality, and manufacturing issues;

Identify, recommend, and implement solutions in the transfer of new products from development to manufacturing.
REQUIREMENTS
Strong knowledge of Food and/or Beverage Technology, Chemistry or Engineering, including Processing & Manufacturing;

3-5 years experience in Food/Food Ingredients industry with BS in Chemistry, Food Science or Chemical Engineering;

Ability to demonstrate creative flair, while having proven capability in the transfer of products from design to manufacturing;

Ability to apply mathematical concepts to the design and implementation of food systems;

Excellent oral & written skills with ability to work in a multi-functional environment, and to coach others;

Able to travel domestically and internationally;

Previous experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Formula Management Systems.
