Principle Scientist

•Studies, evaluates and develops new x-ray based technologies.
•Designs modifications to the existing product to improve image resolution, image contrast and system performance.
•Proposes new approaches,designs and performs experiments in order to prove effectiveness of those approaches.
•Designs, prototypes and proves effectiveness of image processing and machine vision algorithms.
•Works closely with R&D, Engineering, Marketing and other functions in developing new technologies.
REQUIREMENTS
•Ph.D (or MS with equivalent experience)in Physics, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with direct relevant experience will be considered.
•Minimum of 5 years experience in a product oriented environment.
•Working knowledge of transmission and backscatter x-ray generation, optics and detection.
•Working knowledge of image processing, machine vision/ pattern recognition.
•Strong physics background required.
•Software development skills a definite plus.
•Must possess good written and verbal communication skills.
